Rainforest Cafe & Amusement Park

Location: Galveston, TX

Description: Landry’s Restaurants Inc. has had a Client-Architect relationship with Cuningham Group Architecture, PA for many of their themed restaurants nation-wide.  As an employee at CGA, I worked on several of these, including this large Rainforest Cafe Restaurant & River Adventure Ride in Galveston.  Complete with a multi-story simulated volcano that erupts nightly, gorilla animatronics, and fiberglass “ruin stone” panels, this complex is geared for entertainment dining, shopping, amusement, and has become a known icon along the gulf strip.
